desire and necessity, promise and peril

both the promise and the peril are increasing, getting closer to the everyday reality and experience of things; it is exhilirating, and, it is unnerving

more and more, what has seemed like science fiction, and something far off, is now seen as scienfic possibility -- getting closer and closer to the scheme of things

it is extraordinary to think that we have come so far, and are getting so close to a greater existential equilibrium, one in which we can truly begin to exercise sentient potential, unlike anything ever imagined; and yet, at the same time, existential risk seems to be increasing, from many fronts

I think we are compelled to examine what creates all of these things, but I am not sure that most folks will do so; we need to go deep within ourselves, but the mainstream will not do that

existential risk is not about doom and gloom; it is about objectively examining what is what; beyond that, I don’t know what is going to happen

we have to keep our minds and hearts in focus; despite any and all things, now, and the coming decades, is not a time to lose our grip on things; it is passage, and as such, it demands time and attention, mind and heart

there must be a greater light; but where it is, or what it is, I cannot say
